some of the widgets on growlers require you to log in. you will not have to enter any personal data, and no wacky ads will dance across your screen. i will not send you spam, even if you ask nicely.
the reason that this login is necessary is to prevent people from using growlers widgets as the backends of their projects, or hitting the widgets over and over to reverse engineer databases. basically, i am trying to save the bandwidth for humans, at the expense of the evil machines.
this login requires you to be able to recognize latin alphabet characters and to have cookies enabled on your machine. The cookie that will be set upon login does not store any data that can be used to identify you and expires after fifteeen minutes (this means that you will be prompted for a login every fifteen minutes).
If you cannot view the graphic on the right, or if your browser is choking on the cookie, either try another browser or email me. I may be able to solve your problem (but I certainly cannot guarantee a solution). If the login does not work, make sure you are clicking on the log in button and not just pressing enter. If the password reads BADREF, referrers are not being properly passed to this server by your browser.
Note (July 4, 2003): If a broken graphic appears, it is also possible that my hosting company, connecticut-web.com, has had yet another server problem, and has inccorrectly reinstalled PHP. This happens periodically, and recently, all too often. They will probably be very apologetic and fix it eventually.
