[Clutching Their Ears.]

A peasant climbed into a cave on a rocky hillside and fell into a wormhole.

He fell forward through space and time. He had just enough time to appreciate that this particular wormhole was a little breezy and very colorful, when he arrived in the future.

He, of course, did not know it was the future, as peasant education at that time was woefully incomplete where wormholes and the future were concerned. Actually, peasant education was woefully incomplete.

The peasant walked down Main Street. No one noticed him, although most of the people had been exposed to an education that had an adequate description of peasant life in the fourteenth century.

"How odd," thought the peasant, "that everyone walks while holding their ears."

"Hello? Cynthia? It's Bob," said a nearby man, clutching his ear.
