[The Future of Shirts.]

I think about the Future a lot. In the Future, things will be different.

Paper will be Smart. In the Future, we will call things Smart when they can do stuff that they didn't used to be able to do. It will also help if no one understands how the new features work. I think that there are already Phones from the future that are Smart, but I don't know what they do.

At any rate, there will be Smart Paper. It will be just like regular Paper, but it will be connected to the Internet and will be able to be instantly erased and uploaded and downloaded and what not. It will involve Space Age Polymers.

Eventually, the Smart Paper Technology will be applied to Shirts. Instead of owning a Closet full of Shirts, people will only own one or two. This will be just as well, because we will need storage space for our Robot Butlers.

In the morning, you will be able to upload two or three Designs to your Smart Shirt. You could upload a Design for Work, a Design for After Work, and a design for After After Work. When you wanted to change, you will just wiggle the collar, or tap a certain place on the Shirt in a certain pattern, and the Shirt would immediately reconfigure itself to your specifications. It will probably also tuck itself in, or untuck itself as necessary. If you go to a Party, and someone else has uploaded the same Design, you will just change to your back up Design. When you get dressed in the Dark and your Pants don't match your Shirt, you will be able to adjust the hue and saturation. The possibilities for Secret Agents will be limitless (or at least arbitrarily large).

When people see each other on the street, they will say, "Lookin' Smart." Everyone will think that this is very Clever.

Unfortunately, almost everyone will end up wearing the exact same Design, because no one will be able to figure out how to change from the Default Setting.
